We offer a variety of features that maximize efficiency, visibility and quality on multiple levels.
Multi-Temp Day Parts Design – From pedestal pans to ice to hotel bowls, this design and convertible sneeze guards offer the ultimate combination of flexibility and functionality.
Typical situations that may present problems include:
- Spaces with inadequate air conditioning.
- Spaces where the air conditioning is set back at night and/or weekends.
- Spaces where the air conditioning is not designed or capable of removing sufficient moisture (humidity) from the air.
HTH – Refcon has a "High Temperature Humidity" (HTH) refrigeration system available on all open-air screen products. This system is designed to allow open-air screen units to operate in environments that may not conform to ASHRAE standards of 75° DB and 50% RH conditions.
Refcon's HTH system is designed to maintain product shelf temperatures even if the space rises to 80°F and 60% RH.
A unique coil, design controls, settings and refrigeration system are incorporated in the HTH system. Therefore, should this option be required, you must contact Refcon for the electrical changes necessary. Overall dimensions are not affected.
IceRock™ and HotRock™ Technologies – Granite or manmade stone countertops are integral with the base cabinet provided by Refcon. At designated locations, specific sections of stone are refrigerated by IceRock™. These frosted sections have an integrated refrigeration system designed to maintain the surface granite at +10° to 0°F. Each section of IceRock™ is provided with an on/off switch with indicating light.
Self-contained refrigeration systems are balanced by Refcon to assure proper operation. Included are all necessary controls and compressor systems. Should the IceRock™ be connected to a remote refrigeration system, it is required that Refcon review the compressor's sizing and controls.
At designated locations, specific sections of stone are heated by HotRock™. These heated sections have an electric interface heating system designed to maintain the surface granite at 150° to 180°F. Each 2' section is provided with an individual variable temperature control from off to 180°F.
In order to assure superior performance, Refcon must provide the counter and counter top for total integration with IceRock™ and HotRock™. Please contact Refcon for acceptable granites and manmade stones for IceRock™ or HotRock™ applications.
Over/Under Air Flow Design – Our revolutionary Over/Under Air Flow Design improves product quality in salad/food cases and deli cases — keeping all the items in the case cold and crisp.
10-Degree Angled Pan Design – Our 10-degree angled pan design offers greater visibility and accessibility to the customer.
Dry to Cold Top Service Shelf – Refcon has the only bakery case of its kind in the entire industry. Our SMAJB model features a dry top service shelf that converts to refrigerate by simply opening a damper. It gives bakery operators incredible versatility to use one case to sell various items during different times of the day or different times of the year.
