Warranty Policy
LIMITED WARRANTY
Refcon warrants to the original purchasers, the equipment manufactured by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service within 12 months from the original shipment from the factory. This warranty includes parts only. Labor costs are not covered by this limited warranty. Refcon warrants to the original Purchaser the merchandise is as described in the Order Acknowledgment. No other express warranty is made with respect to the goods. If any model or sample was shown or presented to the Buyer, such model or sample was used merely to illustrate the general quality and not to represent the goods would necessarily conform to said model or sample. There are no warranties, express or implied, which extend beyond the description set forth herein and the Buyer agrees that there are no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for use with respect to the ordered goods. Warranties for equipment or articles not manufactured by Refcon are solely the warranties of such manufacturers, which are hereby assigned to the Buyer without recourse to Refcon. Any items returned to the factory must be authorized by Refcon's Customer Service Department and must be shipped prepaid. Replacements will be shipped collect. The warranty does not apply to damage or injury from improper installation, damage in transit, misuse, abuse, or alteration of the original Refcon design package, unauthorized service or breakage of fragile items such as glass; nor does it apply to the loss or contamination of food due to mechanical or electrical failure or loss of business. Merchandise sold by Refcon has to be paid for in full for any warranty to take effect
OPTIONAL LABOR ONE YEAR
Refcon warrants to the original purchasers, the equipment manufactured by it. Refcon will pay for a period of 12 months from the date of original shipment from the factory the cost of labor for repairs and replacement of parts it has determined to be defective. This warranty does not include the cost of labor for initial installation, start-up, correction of improper installations, misapplications, repairs caused by abuse and negligence, modifications, normal adjustments, travel time to and from repair site, and refrigerant recovery. The cost of service labor reimbursed will be based on straight-time rate and reasonable time for the repair of the defect. All service labor charges are subject to approval by Refcon. Optional one-year labor warranties are not available for remote refrigeration cases. Net price: $265.00 per case. This warranty must be purchased at time of order. Merchandise sold by Refcon has to be paid for in full for any warranty to take effect.
OPTIONAL FIVE YEAR MOTOR-COMPRESSOR
Refcon warrants to the original purchasers, it will repair or exchange at our option, at any time during the five years following the date of original shipment from the factory a motor-compressor assembly of similar design and capacity if the motor-compressor assembly or any part thereof is returned prepaid to the nearest authorized dealer and is proved to our satisfaction to be inoperative due to defects in material or factory workmanship. The term "motor-compressor assembly" consists of the stator, rotor, eccentric rod, eccentric shaft, piston, wrist pin, suction valve, discharge valve, and the cast housing in which these parts are enclosed. This warranty does not apply to any electrical controls, condenser, evaporator, fan motors, overload switch, starting relay, temperature control, dryer, accumulator, or wiring harnesses. No claims can be made against this warranty for spoilage of product. Replacement of the motor-compressor assembly must receive prior approval from Refcon. For unit price of such an optional extended compressor warranty inquire within Refcon. Must be purchased at time of order. Merchandise sold by Refcon has to be paid for in full for any warranty to take effect.
DOOR FRAME WARRANTY
LIFETIME WARRANTY: Refcon warrants to the original purchasers, the door frame installed by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the lifetime of the case. This warranty includes parts only. Labor costs are not covered by this warranty. Refcon warrants to the original Purchaser the merchandise is as described in the Order Acknowledgment. No other express warranty is made with respect to the goods.
